Does Paubox have size limits on attachments?

Does Paubox have size limits on attachments?

Paubox seamlessly encrypts attachments and supports attachments up to 50MB. If you send an attachment larger than 50MB, it will bounce back to as "undeliverable."

If you need to send a larger file, you can upload the file to Paubox Storage, and then share the file (either by sending a link to a specific file, or by sharing multiple files in a folder).

Most email providers have their own limits that are often lower:

Email client Sending and inbound size limits
AOL 25 MB
Apple Mail (iCloud)
20MB, up to 5GB with Mail Drop turned on
Gmail 25 MB
GMX 50 MB
Outlook/Office 365 25 MB by default
ProtonMail 25 MB
Thunderbird no
Yahoo 25 MB

Zoho Mail

20 MB

Why it matters: Sending large attachments can lead to undelivered emails and recipients missing critical information.

What to do with large attachments: For sending files larger than the email limits, healthcare organizations can use secure cloud storage services that comply with HIPAA regulations. HIPAA compliant services like Paubox Storage, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox offer ways to share large files by providing a link in the email instead of attaching the file directly.

In some cases, compressing files can help stay within email size limits, but recipients might be unsure how to unzip files.
