First round Sony Open in Hawaii 2025

Written by Hoala Greevy | January 10, 2025

Dean Levitt and I staffed our elevated hospitality chalet during the first round of the Sony Open 2025. Our customers Sabina Wilford and Shaun Shimizu from Hawaiʻi Interpreting Services stopped by to visit.

What's happening: For the first time, we have an elevated hospitality chalet next to our customer, Hawaii Dental Service, on the 17th hole of the Sony Open.

Sony Open, by the numbers:

  • Over $25 million donated to Hawaii nonprofits since 1999
  • 1,300 volunteers help produce the tournament
  • Is aired in 213 countries and territories
  • 350 local nonprofits have received funding to-date
  • Nearly 100 sponsors (now including Paubox)
  • 58 years of PGA Tour competition, which makes the Sony Open the third longest-running host course
  • Viewers spent 9.1 million hours tuned into the Sony Open in Hawaii

Enjoy the pics!

We're the first Hawaii startup to have a skybox at the Sony Open.

We walked over to Paubox customer ALTRES and their array of skyboxes on the 18th green. In my opinion, they have the top skybox at the Sony Open.
