San Francisco - This afternoon I took a Waymo to the Bain Capital office in Jackson Square for an event hosted by BAM. About 40 people attended.
What's happening: Via an invite from Clayton Bryan from 500 Global, I attended BAM's Media Matchmaking Day, where startups had the chance to connect directly with top-tier journalists.
My takeaways:
- Most of the founders' companies were Series A and later
- Each media professional had their own table, which accommodated three to five guests (i.e., founders).
- After opening remarks, there were eight rounds of matchmaking, with each round lasting ten minutes.
- Towards the end, it got pretty loud. I think the sound bounced off the ceiling.
Enjoy the pics!
