Volunteering at the Punahou Carnival: 'Yee-Haw Gyros' booth

Volunteering at the Punahou Carnival: 'Yee-Haw Gyros' booth

I got my grill on at the "Yee-Haw Gyros” booth at the Punahou Carnival today.

What's happening: My wife and I volunteered at the Punahou Carnival this afternoon for a three-hour shift.

Zooming out: Punahou School is a Paubox customer and supporter of the Paubox Kahikina Scholarship.

On the job training: My grilling duties involved the following:

  • Empty a box full of shaved lamb meat onto the grill
  • Use gloved hands to break apart meat
  • Pour two bottles of water over meat
  • Grill for two to three minutes
  • Place meat into a paper-lined double tray
  • Place tray in the heating tower, on the bottom shelf
  • Scrap grill to clean it
  • Grab another box
