As a healthcare center offering critical care to patients in need, Arisa Health needed a secure communication system that was easy for providers and patients to use while prioritizing data safety.

Mike Gross, the Senior Director of Communications and Cybersecurity at Arisa, shares how they use Paubox to communicate with patients and providers.
Arisa Health is focused on meeting patients where they are at. New patients may be struggling with their mental health or face other barriers to health services–Arisa wanted to make it as easy as possible for patients to connect with providers.
Connecting with potential patients, other agencies, and providers is a necessary part of their services. “We have to send PHI data to recipients outside the agency on a daily basis,” Gross explained.
Yet security was also a top concern. Gross said the biggest measure of successful communication was the “security of data and information that associates use and create” regularly.
Before Paubox, Arisa didn’t have a great way to secure external communications. They had tried various products over the years, but nothing felt right. “Recipients constantly complained about portals and needing a password to access emails,” Gross explained. All of the other products were just too complicated.
When Gross first learned about Paubox, he and his team scoured the internet to see how customers liked it. “I used G2 and various other review websites and Paubox received excellent reviews,” he explained.
They had known about Paubox since 2021, but didn’t decide to make the leap until 2024. While they knew they wanted to try something different, Gross explained that it was challenging to make a decision in time for their yearly budget cycle.
Ultimately, Gross and his team decided to replace their current email security provider with Paubox email.

Finally, it was time to put it all into motion. Once Gross made the switch, he realized how simple the process could be.
