Here's an update from one of our OG recipient, Nick Wong. Not only is Nick the inaugural recipient of the Paubox Kahikina STEM Scholarship, he also interned and worked full-time at Paubox as a front-end engineer.
Nick recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Computer Science, Data Science, and Entrepreneurship.
He now works as a Product Manger at Paragon (Series A startup) and has recently agreed to join the Paubox Kahikina STEM Scholarship Advisory group.
Nick Wong: How's it going everyone, my name is Nick Wong and I was one of the first recipients of the Paubox Kahikina Scholarship. I'm out here in Berkeley California, near the UC Berkeley campus. I just wanted to give a shout out to the Paubox scholarship, definitely apply.
Mahalo to the organization for investing so much in the next generation of Hawaii's technology leaders. I'm really excited to continue to support this program, it really gets a lot of opportunity, allows us to get our foot in the door when breaking into the tech industry.
Go Paubox Kahikina scholarship. Aloha!
The primary objective of the Paubox Kahikina STEM Scholarship is to encourage Native Hawaiians to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
